Nasal Hygiene

If you are doing nasal hygiene, it could mean you have some phlegm or congestion that gets in the way of smooth uninterrupted breathing when you sleep, possibly during the day as well. Revive nasal hygiene regimen will advise non-drug natural methods.

 

Mild - Moderate


Saline, Xylitol & Grapefruit Seed Extract

  1. Obtain nasal spray Xynase or Xlear with saline and xylitol, or also grapefruit seed extract.

  2. Spray into nose as manufacturer instructs.

  3. Blow out the nose to clear it.

Xylitol is naturally occurring, yet store bought products most likely contain synthetic. You can research the best brand for you or learn how to make your own spray if you prefer natural.


Nasal-passage opening Strips

  1. Obtain strips.

  2. After saline flush/cleanse, place over nose as instructed.

  3. Go to sleep with a slightly more opened up nasal passage.

Find a brand that does not cause you allergies if you have adhesive allergies.


 

Moderate - Heavy


Saline Flush

  1. Be in front of a sink.

  2. Clean purified or distilled water, 1cup lukewarm.

  3. Add 1/2-1tsp pure mineral salt (celtic, himalayan, real).

  4. Place brim of cup under nose.

  5. Purposefully inhale the saline solution you just made. Repeat few times if you need until successfully flushes through and out the mouth.

  6. Option to use Saline-Xylitol spray so some of that stays in nasal passage throughout the night.
