Bio-MAGO Cleaning Instructions

Congratulations! You have just received your Bio-MAGO device and the information below will help you maintain your device.

Please brush with a soft brush (your own toothbrush works) each time you take it out.

  1. Cool running water

  2. No toothpaste

  3. No hot water

  4. Keep dry during the day

  5. Dip in water ~30mins-1hr before wearing it again if you can, if not, at least rinse with some water to moisten it.

  6. Disinfection: antibacterial dish soap has worked well for patients for a cheaper

Post-Op Instructions

  • Please use the hot/cold compress daily at minimum one per day.

  • Place the Bio-MAGO in the mouth

  • Perform TMJ Hydrotherapy - hot/cold compress.

  • Ok to let it relax you and fall asleep!

  • You can do the hot/cold therapy 2x/day if you’d like it to be more effective

Other Precautions

  • The Bio-MAGO Occlusal Guard is not meant for 24-hr use. Use at night only, or please follow custom instructions.

  • If the mouth feels dry when you wake up in the morning, consider soaking the device in water for a bit before wearing. Soaking longer is more effective.

  • Your bite may feel different after several days to two weeks.

  • If there is an obvious change, notify us right away to come in sooner than 2weeks.

  • If there is pain, notify us right away to come in sooner than 2 weeks.
